Celestial Family

We took some pictures outside today, and as we were all being tormented, we got this great picture with us being translated. We opted to come back down and deliver a message that God loves all of us, and that we all need to keep working to make the world a better place.

Ok, maybe that didn't happen, we really aren't perfect (yet) but it looked neat anyway. Today was Father's Day, and the kids and my wife were really nice to me, with the great cards that they made for me, and the tie that you can't see in this picture. I was a bit dissappointed that they didn't have any special treats for the fathers at church, except for the primary children singing songs about fathers.

We went over to my parents house to visit my dad, and to celebrate the June birthdays, and my dad sure does get spoiled. He got a new computer chair, a chess game, the Silmarillian, and drill bits. Becca said it felt like it must be my dad's birthday with all the gifts going around. She isn't used to that, and says that small gifts are best. I don't remember it being that extravagant when I was younger, but I didn't think it was too much. Are gifts too much for Mother's Day and Father's day? I suppose that it is nice to receive gifts, but the nicest presents that I got today were the cards that they spent time on for me.

personally I don't think its to much. I mean dad does alot for us year round and I think I can try to give him something that he enjoys. but your kids are still young and they are giving you things that they can make themselves. so they are special! I bet when they get older they will give you presents too!!!!

I think when kids are young yes...but my sister and I always bought a gift for our dad (with the help of our mom most of the time). It was always nice to give him something.

A card, a phone call, a candy bar, box of Little Debbie's , that is all good. I forgot to send my Dad a card; when I called him to wish him a Happy Father's Day, he just said the call was enough. I think all Paul wants is a little love from his kids. So I agree with you Troy, big gifts not needed to said " I love you Dad"
Oh, I never get big Mother's Day gifts.

I think mom just wanted a new chair for the office and Father's day was a nice excuse. Presents are awesome any day of the week, even thursdays.
